It was lovely to welcome members and guests yesterday, to celebrate the start of the new season and meet up with old and new friends. The rain held off after a dreary start and by the time the last people were leaving in the afternoon the sun was shining in a blue sky. We all enjoyed breakfast baps and the odd glass of fizz as we showed of the Club horses in the school. Julie Wadland kindly brought Nickolson over for a trot in the school with Claire so everyone could meet him for the first time. He looked amazing and has bags of charisma.
Magic did some jumping with Claire and much to our delight was very well behaved despite the crowd and all the distraction. We aim to be on the track early season with these two and look forward to fun days out at p2p.
Claire’s team then paraded a few residents that we have in the yard at the moment and there was even a star performance from team CHE junior and Dessy the Shetland (not a big fan of showing off at all and at the ripe old age of 26 who can blame her?).
A big thank you to everyone who came along to see us and meet the horses. We look forward to plenty more upcoming events and hopefully everyone enjoyed the day, we always love to have visitors at the yard.
