South Dorset Races

We were point to pointing again on Sunday at Milborne St Andrew in Dorset. The weather was kind and it was a good day’s racing.

Our Glenmount, aka Tony, ran a great race in the first, only to be pipped to second again, giving 7 pounds to the winner – a very well Fancied Bradley Gibbs 4 year old. He jumped really well and looked fabulous on the day – well done to Julie Wadland and team.

Martin McIntyre who rode him gave us very positive feedback. He rates him as a good horse, who needs to come out of the Maiden races where he is giving 7/14 pounds to the 4/5 year olds, which you may remember is what happened to him first time out, where he was again beaten just half a length by a 4 year old. So the plan is to step him up to 3 miles and on level weights he should win. Lots to look forward to with him we hope, well done Tony and thanks to Julie for a great day out!
